In 2000, we created our first campaign to help feed Georgia's hungry. It was our way of giving something back to a community that has given us so much. We are continuing that tradition this holiday season by using what we do best to help feed the hungry, and that is spreading the word.
This isn't just about Georgia; it's about the entire world. While it may be hard to accept, hunger is a problem in the richest country in the world, the USA. We urge you to visit the website we have created and get the facts.
www.hungeringeorgia.com
When you visit, you will find not only facts. You will see how we are spreading the word and if you feel so inclined, you can learn how to make a donation to the Atlanta Community Food Bank or other organizations who help feed the hungry.
Spread the Word
Another way you can help is to spread the word yourself. We have placed some HTML code on the site that you can copy, which links to a logo and the web site. If it is appropriate, we urge you to add the code to your blogs, website, MySpace pages, emails, etc.
We also have a human advertising campaign where we are asking people to wear a free tee shirt with the ‘Spread the Word… Help the Hungry’ logo. We are hoping to see lots of people walking around with these tees on. The free tees can be obtained at several local retailers listed on the website while supplies last. We would like to thank Dr. Lucky’s (drluckys.com) and Ian McNeel for donating the imprinted tees.
