Today, on Linkedin.com a member asked this question.
“If you got a chance to build next generation social networks, what would be your ideas?
It got me thinking that it is funny people are talking about the next generation of social networks when we haven’t perfected the current generation.
Sure, we have lots of technology and some sites are very “cool”, but I don’t think that is enough. What I do think is if we want to enhance social networks, we don’t need technology we need an experience that is relevant and interesting. I mean the reason most people are part of social networks is to gather information that contributes to the member’s lifestyle, personal and business.
If the technology helps with this strategy then it is valuable. If it consists of sending Vampire bites (Facebook) and getting stars for answering questions (Linkedin), I don't think we need any more of that kind of technology. (:-)
